Interpol: “Interpol”

New York’s own Interpol has released their long-awaited 4th album. Compared to their 2007 album “Our Love to Admire”, their self-titled album explores dark musical landscapes layered in depth and intensity. No one song draws attention to itself which speaks for the solidarity of the album as a whole. Overall, if you’re an Interpol fan, pick up the album. It is a good addition to their 3 previous albums.

Robyn: “Body Talk pt2″

Robin Miriam Carlsson, who hails from Sweden first broke into the scene at age 16 when she signed to RCA and released her first single “you’ve got that somethin”. Now 32, Robyn, who was recently named “electro queen”, is releasing her 2nd album with Cherrytree Records. “Body Talk pt2″ which features the likes of Snoop Dogg, Diplo and Salvage Skulls, is her 2nd album in the planned trilogy of the year. With only being at part 2 in the course of the year, Robyn is not slowing down and only building momentum. “Body Talk pt2″ is a strong release for Robyn and is a really good dance/pop album.

Goo Goo Dolls: “Something For The Rest of Us”

“Something For The Rest of Us”, written and recorded over the last few years is another of Goo Goo Dolls works of art. John Rezeznik does a wonderful job of writing albums that deals with the everyday events that all of us deal with, which is probably why they are one of the few bands remaining from the 1980′s. “Something For The Rest of Us” was created to tell the story of the rest of us, so in a sense, this album was written for you! Go out and buy your album!

Heart has packed out shows, sold more than 30 million records, and has 21 Top 40 Hits. Their newest album, “Red Velvet Car”, and their 1st in 6 years, is truly a masterpiece. These girls definitely know how to rock with the best.

Katy Perry’s newest album which was released today, “Teenage Dream” is only going to slingshot herself into the hearts of millions more worldwide. Her hit single, “California Gurls” was inevitably the anthem of the summer. Featuring Snoop Dogg, “Gurls” is a sizzling salute to sun-kissed days spent in Daisy Dukes and a bikini top. “Got my headphones on and they look likes Siege’s”…well that’s not exactly how it goes, but if you haven’t heard The Packs single “Vans” that hit Rolling Stone Magazines #5 out of 50 in 2006, than you have been hiding in a hole. This 4 man hip-hop crew has been killin’ it since they got signed when they were only 17. Based out of Berkley, CA, this is a young “wolfpack” that shouldn’t be messed with. Jiberish presents: “Right Back Where We Started”

Jiberish has released their 1st movie ever. They have been known for some pretty fresh edits including “Do Werk” from this past year. Jiberish, a lifestyle clothing company based out of Colorado has been blowing up the ski scene. They have also added a talented list of snowboarders and skateboarders to their team. The video features: Tom Wallisch, Joe Mango, Ian Cosco, Adam Delorme, Mike Hornbeck, Justin Norman, Henrik Harlaut, Stephen Richards, Matt Walker, Keri Herman, AJ Kemppainen, Elijah Moore, Jon Brogan and Corey Vanular. Follow them around as they tear up the streets of San Francisco to the best terrain parks in the nation. Jiberish and Adrenaline Garage has a online premier on August 19th, but after a few technical difficulties the entire movie is on video free to watch! Winter is near!!

It’s 53 degrees here in Utah. Just got a good, quick storm role through. With the sudden chilly atmosphere, it got me amped on the upcoming season. (Not that I haven’t been looking forward to snow all summer…) Check out a few of these teasers/videos of kids shreddin’ places from Britain, Whistler, and both coasts of the US. It’s going to be an epic year!!

F1RST Surf Shop Grand Opening

So the guys down at F1RST SURF SHOP in Miami Beach just had the grand opening of their new store location this week and it went off!! Hundreds showed up for product toss, free booze, and a proper after party that only South Beach could pull off.. The next time you are down in SOBE, definitely stop by the shop and pick up some Siege headphones to rock the town with… Plus they are located right next door to the famed Nikki Beach where you will probably find the hottest ladies you will ever come across on an average Sunday Funday. You definitely need to check out this hot spot on the Southeast Corner of Miami Beach.. And if you are starting to think about picking up a new hotstick for Hurricane season or even that quick trip down to PR or Central America, the guys have a solid selection of AJW Surfboards, …LOST, Merricks, and even some SUP’s for those dawg days of summer. Oh yeah, about a hundred yards from the shop it occasionally will break like this below…but it’s an art in itself to catch it when its firing.
